Complaining about CLAs in open source is bike-shedding
Erm, CLAs have been, and still remain, a very contentious point among a sizeable number, possibly even a majority, of open source proponents. It comes up at conferences time and time again and was even the topic of a recent-ish panel discussion with Mark S himself. To dismiss it out of hand as "bike-shedding" is really rather disrespectful and disingenuous.
